Man threatened with a handgun in overnight robbery

According to Lincoln Police, around 11:30 p.m. Monday night, a 23 year old man was driving in the alley between 18th St. &19th St. and A St. & B St.

He was trying to turn around when a man, described as a white male with long hair, came up to his window and pointed a handgun at him, demanding his wallet.

The victim did not have his wallet with him.

The suspect then punched the victim in the face and took his glasses, as well as the key from his ignition, then took off. 

Police were able to set up a perimeter and found the victims glasses, which were damaged, but were unable to locate the suspect.

The victim sustained injuries to his face from the punches, but did not require medical treatment.

Investigation is ongoing.
