Man used stolen Ford to ram garage and steal Chevy, Lincoln Police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Someone crashed into a Lincoln auto retailer’s garage on Tuesday, stole a set of keys and drove off with a $53,000 pickup truck.

The Lincoln Police Department said a man took a 2015 white Chevy Silverado from LAX Auto Sales on West Cornhusker Highway shortly before 5 a.m.

Surveillance video shows that he used a 2007 Ford F-250 pickup to ram a garage door and gain entry to the business, police said.

The Ford was reported stolen on Monday near 27th Street and Wildcat Drive. The suspect left it at LAX and drove the Chevy east on Cornhusker.

The missing pickup has a large bumper, black rims and large mirrors.
