Man wanted on Kansas murder warrant caught after York County hit-and-run
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man wanted in a Kansas homicide was arrested Tuesday in York County.
John Adier of West Plains, Missouri, was caught after a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 80, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
About noon, Adier left the scene of a crash near Waco, the sheriff’s office said.
He was driving a semi that was pulling a cattle trailer, which deputies said they found moments later near the York exit.
A sergeant pulled him over and discovered that he had an arrest warrant for second-degree murder in Thomas County, Kansas.
Deputies said they arrested him without incident and took him to the York County Jail, where he is awaiting extradition to Kansas.
The sheriff’s office said Adier will also be charged in York County with leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
