LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Police say a search across the street from a Lincoln elementary school yielded 35 pounds of marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms and two firearms.

The resident of the home, 28-year-old Zane Knopp, was charged Tuesday with four drug felonies.

He is being held in jail on a $400,000 bond. He would need to pay $40,000 to be released.

On Monday, investigators carried out a search warrant at Knopp’s home near 48th and Adams streets, just to the north of Huntington Elementary School.

Law enforcement said they found about 35 pounds of marijuana bud, which was mostly in vacuum-sealed packages.

The search also turned up numerous jars of THC wax and THC cartridges, according to court documents.

An arrest affidavit says investigators seized almost $25,000 in cash, too, most of which was in a wall safe.

Authorities think Knopp made the money by selling marijuana.

Investigators also discovered 149 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and a methamphetamine pipe, according to the affidavit.

Finally, authorities said Knopp also had two guns — a handgun and an AR-15.

Both the Nebraska State Patrol and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force played a part in the search.

Knopp’s charges include delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

He is due back in court Aug. 6.
