Mild weather lingers, small rain chances
If we get to 60 again on Friday, that would be 5 out of the 13 days in February that have been 60 degrees or higher. That’s 38%!
We may not quite make it to 60 on Saturday, though. More clouds and a rain chance will keep us a little cooler.
The best chance for rain will be Saturday morning and most of it will be along and south of I80.
Below is what our StormCast weather model is showing for timing, location, and duration of the rain.
We need the rain, too. The latest drought report has much of the state at least abnormally dry. There’s even an “Extreme Drought” in the panhandle now.
Precipitation chances are out there for Saturday, then again late Tuesday. Keeping an eye on the long range with a couple of weather models showing a rain/snow potential late next week. It’s still a ways out, so we’ll wait a little while before getting too excited.
