More than 218,500 COVID shots given locally

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Today, Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) reports 21 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the community total to 30,197.

A total of 18 variants have been identified in the county (12 U.K. and 6 California).

The community death total remains at 230.

More than 27,100 people have recovered from the virus and more than 218,850 vaccines have been administered. Upwards of 27,200 of these vaccines were administer last week over four mass vaccination clinics.

Three more mass vaccination clinics are scheduled for this week, they are as follows:

Monday, Center for People in Need – first doses for county residents
Thursday, Pinnacle Bank Arena – first and second doses for county residents
Friday, Pinnacle Bank Arena – first doses for county residents
