More than a dozen crews called out to Lincoln house fire

Neighbors say the property had been previously abandoned or condemned

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Fifteen crews were called out to a house fire in Lincoln on Friday morning in the 4500 block of St. Paul Avenue, just a few streets west of Nebraska Wesleyan University.

Neighbors reported seeing flames and smoke coming from the property, which they also said had been previously abandoned or condemned.

The first call came in around 7:30 a.m. and an hour later, crews were still on scene, blocking surrounding streets.

Smoke also continues to fill the area, as you can see in the photo taken by Channel 8’s Nathan Greve.

No word just yet on any injuries or how this blaze may have started.
