Df Lincoln Today Hour By Hour

 

Another warmer fall day ahead today in Lincoln with highs reaching the upper 70s and lower 80s across southeast Nebraska. Strong winds out of the east-southeast will continue to bring in warmer air throughout the afternoon.

A foggy start to the day for western and central Nebraska as well. A Dense Fog Advisory is in place until 11 a.m. CDT/12 p.m. MDT for North Platte and the panhandle.

A few sprinkles will be possible on Wednesday for southeast Nebraska. We then shift our focus to the panhandle where Stormcast shows storms popping up later this evening. Storm chances enter the forecast for central Nebraska throughout the day on Thursday before reaching Lincoln late Thursday into early Friday.

This afternoon we could see the possibility for severe weather out in the panhandle. A Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5) is in place for western portions of the state, where quarter-size hail and 60 mile-per-hour wind gusts will be possible this evening in stronger storms.

Warmer and breezy in the Capital City for Wednesday with our high temperature reaching the lower 80s. Mostly dry after a few sprinkles for the morning commute.

Another mild evening ahead as lows fall to the lower and middle 60s heading into Thursday. Breezy conditions will persist overnight, with wind gusts up to 20 miles-per-hour possible.

Another warmer day on Thursday before a passing cold front bringing storm chances late Thursday and early Friday. Temperatures drop to start the weekend with highs in the upper 60s. Breezy and mostly sunny this weekend. Temperatures remain closer to average under sunny skies for next week.
