Motorcycle crash in Lincoln leaves one man dead

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) -A 23-year-old man is dead after being hit on his motorcycle near Highway 2 and Pioneers Blvd.
Lincoln Police responded to a motorcycle crash Thursday night around 9:30 p.m. The crash involved a sedan car and a motorcycle, the sedan trying to turn left onto Pioneers. Police say CPR was performed on the motorcyclist but was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released his identity until all family is notified.
The driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries but is expected to be okay, according to authorities.
Speed and alcohol are being looked at as a factor in the crash.
Lincoln Police are asking for people to avoid the area. Highway 2 will stay closed for several hours for further investigation.
