UPDATE: Multiple buildings on fire in Southeast Lincoln

UPDATE:
There was a big fire in south Lincoln Friday night.
A home and some outbuildings went up in flames around 8 o’clock.
It happened just south of 56th and Yankee Hill Road. There were reports of small explosions. Firefighters said there were propane tanks in the garage and because of a lack of nearby hydrants, Hickman, Bennet and Southeast Fire and Rescue all had to come in to help.
With little water at one point, firefighters worked on saving the house and had to let other buildings burn.
A witness said he heard an explosion.
“I was actually resting, about to go out with my friend,” Karsyn Shkolnick said. “She came over and I heard a huge boom and I walked outside and I pretty much saw flames and it was astonishing.”
There was also an earlier report that someone might have been in the house. That apparently was not the case and there were no reports of injuries.
As of 10 p.m. firefighters continued to work on the scene, but were wrapping things up. The state fire marshal’s office sent an investigator to the scene.
