Nebraska baseball loses suspended game to Creighton

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska and Creighton baseball teams picked up where they left off on Tuesday, and the Bluejays picked up a win.

CU defeated NU 6-5 in Omaha in the resumption of their April 18 game, which was suspended in the bottom of the seventh inning due to lightning.

The Huskers had the bases loaded, and Gabe Swansen was up to bat.

Swansen wasted no time on Tuesday, sending Max Anderson to home plate on a sacrifice fly.

But that would be Nebraska’s only run of the afternoon.

The Jays had two doubles in the eighth inning to score two more runs.

The teams will finish their series at 7 p.m. Tuesday. You can watch that game on the CBS Sports Network.
