Nebraska can’t contain No. 3 Ohio State

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska women’s basketball fell 76-67 to No. 3 Ohio State Saturday.

Graduate Student Sam Haiby recorded a season high 16 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.

Sophomore Alexis Markowski finished with 15 points and 8 rebounds, collecting 12 in the first half.

Freshman Callin Hake had an impressive day recording double figures for the fourth time in five games with 11 points.

Junior Isabelle Bourne contributed 13 points and 8 rebounds while junior Jaz Shelley collected 6 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals.

The Huskers were aggressive on the glass corralling 21 offensive rebounds along with winning the turnover margin.

Nebraska was cold from three-point range, connecting on 5 of 27 from beyond the arc.

Ohio State’s Rebeka Mikulasikova led the Buckeyes with 25 points, and 7 rebounds.

The Big Red travel to Purdue for a road matchup against another Big Ten opponent.
