The protest occurs from 2:30 to 6 p.m. at Fonner Park’s State Fair entrance.
NDP Chair Jane Kleeb said the visit from the president proves Republicans are in trouble.
“Trump coming to Grand Island tells you one basic fact: Republicans are in trouble, even in Nebraska. Nebraskans are angry at the con job, the fake outrage, and the broken promises, and we’re building a cross-partisan team of voters to hold the MAGA takeover of the Republican Party accountable,” Kleeb said. “When the war came, when tariffs hit, when trade fights started, and when gas and grocery prices kept climbing, Ricketts, Pillen, Harding, Flood, and the rest all made the same choice. They chose Trump over us. Early in-person voting starts today, and Nebraskans are ready to vote out MAGA’s chaos and cruelty.”
