President Trump set to speak in Grand Island on Oct. 5

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KLKN) — The Republican National Committee has announced that Trump 47 Committee, Inc. will host a Midterm Rally in Grand Island, featuring a visit and remarks from President Donald J. Trump.
The event is on Oct. 5 and begins at 4:30 p.m., with doors to the Pinnacle Bank Expo Center opening at 2:30 p.m.
Guests must RSVP to attend the event.
Trump will begin his remarks at 6 p.m.
Sen. Pete Ricketts’ campaign said Ricketts is looking forward to the event.
“Sen. Ricketts looks forward to welcoming President Trump to Nebraska,” Max Oberg, deputy campaign manager for Ricketts’ campaign, said. “Sen. Ricketts is working with the President to pass year-round E15. Ban stock trading by members of Congress. Codify ratepayer protections so Nebraska families aren’t footing the bill for data centers. And deliver a Farm Bill for our farmers and ranchers.”
The Nebraska Democratic Party (NDP) said this visit shows negative things.
“Trump’s tour of deep-red towns shows what we all know: his polling is in the gutter, just like our nation’s economy and our standing in the world,” Jane Kleeb, NDP Chair, said. “This harvest season, with diesel nearly doubled, export markets drying up, rural hospitals struggling, and senseless tariffs still hitting our pockets, Trump would be better served doing his actual job instead of breaking every promise he made to Nebraskans. A coalition of voters across party lines is fed up with Trump’s chaos and ready to elect new leaders.”
