Nebraska H1N1 Flu Update
Nebraska's chief medical officer says a federal lab for a second straight day hasn't confirmed more cases of H1N1 flu in the state. Dr. Joann Schaefer said Thursday it's a lull in reporting _ not a lull in flu activity.
Nebraska health officials have nine tests pending at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Atlanta lab. Schaefer has said there's a 99 percent chance those will come back confirmed. Six cases of the illness have been confirmed previously, including four Nebraska residents.
The probable cases involve residents of Scotts Bluff, Sarpy, Madison and Stanton counties. Eight of them are children between the ages of 5 and 18.
