Nebraska officer accused of domestic assault by girlfriend

She's since been arrested and placed on administrative leave

OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN) – An Omaha police officer was arrested on charges of misdemeanor domestic violence assault.

Brittany Taylor, the Omaha police officer, was identified by her girlfriend as the perpetrator.  According to the Omaha Police Department, the incident took place on Sunday around 4 a.m., with officers responding to a call on Laurel Ave.

OPD has launched an internal investigation separate from the criminal investigation.  Taylor was placed on administrative leave and has been booked into Douglas County Corrections.
