Nebraska quarterback Jeff Sims enters transfer portal, report says
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Quarterback Jeff Sims is back in the transfer portal after one year at Nebraska.
Sims, who transferred to Nebraska from Georgia Tech, officially entered the transfer portal on Monday, 247Sports reported.
He started in Nebraska’s first two games against Minnesota and Colorado. After suffering an injury in Boulder, Colorado, Heinrich Haarberg took over for Sims.

Sims played sparingly in three more games: Louisiana Tech, Purdue and Maryland.
He finished the season with 282 passing yards, six interceptions and a touchdown. On the ground, Sims had 189 rushing yards and a touchdown.
