Nebraska sheriff’s office searching for turkey thief

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities in Hamilton County are on the lookout for a woman who allegedly stole a pet turkey.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect took the animal from an acreage just north of the Phillips exit on Highway 2, also known as B Road. The alleged crime happened around noon Thursday.

The woman reportedly left the scene in a black SUV without a license plate in the front, according to the sheriff’s office.
