Nebraska teen accidentally shot while shooting at small animals, sheriff says
HAMILTON COUNTY, Neb. (KLKN) — The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an accidental shooting involving two teens.
The sheriff said it happened Sunday, Christmas Eve, when deputies were sent to the Aurora Memorial Hospital for a 17-year-old boy who had a gunshot wound to his shoulder.
Authorities said the teen was accidentally shot by another 17-year-old boy while the pair was shooting at small animals in a vehicle in southern Hamilton County.
The teen who was shot was transported to Children’s Hospital in Omaha with non-life threatening injuries, the sheriff said.
The investigation is still ongoing.
