Nebraska women’s basketball dominates Oral Roberts to open season

Six players scored in double figures for Nebraska, led by Trinity Brady's career high of 15 points. Kate Cain, Issie Bourne and Sam Haiby all scored 14 a piece. 

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska women’s basketball struggled early but pulled away late in a 90-61 win against Oral Roberts to open the season on Friday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Six players scored in double figures for Nebraska, led by Trinity Brady’s career high of 15 points. Kate Cain, Issie Bourne and Sam Haiby all scored 14 a piece.

The Huskers shot 50 percent from the floor while outrebounding the Eagles, 58-40. Cain and Bourne combined for 20 boards.

Nebraska takes on Idaho State on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at PBA.
