Nebraska women’s basketball set to face Virginia Tech in ACC/Big Ten Challenge
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Husker women’s hoops are set to take on the Hokies in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Dec. 1.
The tournament schedule was released by the conferences on Monday. This is the first scheduled game for the Huskers’ upcoming season.
Nebraska and Virginia Tech are both coming off of NCAA Tournament appearances in the 2021-22 season. This will be the second time the two teams have met.
The Hokies beat the Huskers 76-67 in 2016, coach Amy Williams’ first season leading the team.
Husker starters Alexis Markowski, Jaz Shelley, Sam Haiby and Isabelle Bourne will be returning for the 2022-23 season.
Dates for other non-conference games during the 2022-23 season have yet to be released. They will come soon after the Big-Ten Conference schedule is released in August.
