LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Thursday, Test Nebraska announced that they will be teaming up with the Children’s Hospital & Medical Center to offer mobile coronavirus testing for kids.

They say the partnership was established as a safety net, in case there is a rise in cases among children. Testing will be available for infants, children, and adolescents.

Within a day’s notice, pediatric experts will be available to travel to schools, daycare centers, or other educational institutions to provide testing services.

“Keeping children safe and healthy is our top priority—always and especially in the current pandemic,” says Christopher Maloney, M.D., Ph.D., Children’s executive vice president, chief clinical officer and physician-in-chief. “We are proud to partner with the State of Nebraska to provide our unique pediatric expertise and support Nebraska families and communities.”

This partnership is currently set to run through the month of October but can be extended.
