No. 20 Nebraska softball shuts out Maryland in series opener
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Huskers got their weekend off to hot start, shutting out Maryland 6-0 in Friday’s series opener.
Jordy Bahl took the circle for Nebraska softball and pitched a gem.
The Nebraska native finished with a complete game, striking out nine batters and only giving up one hit.
It’s her second straight 7.0 IP one-hit shutout.
Bahl also homered and was just one of three hitters to do so. Lauren Camenzind and Samantha Bland added one apiece.
With Friday’s win, Nebraska now has 10 shutout victories on the season.
The Big Red moves to 36-12 (15-5 Big Ten) on the season, while the Terrapins fall to 18-29 (3-17 Big Ten).
