NSP: 55LBS of cocaine found near Cozad
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) discovered 55 lbs of cocaine being driven down I-80.
NSP pulled over 31-year-old Donovan Grange of Arizona around 1 pm Thursday near the Cozad interchange. It is unclear what prompted the trooper to contact the driver.
During the encounter, the trooper said they became suspicious of criminal activity and began to search the vehicle.
It was then that the trooper found 55 lbs of cocaine hidden in floor compartments of the vehicle, plus small amounts of marijuana.
A female passenger and small child were also in the car.
Grange was arrested on multiple drug charges and child abuse/neglect.
