SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KLKN) — A highway pursuit led to a rollover accident and the arrest of four individuals.

Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) noticed a Ford Escape speeding on Hwy 75 in South Sioux City, just after 12 a.m. Thursday.

They attempted to pull them over but the vehicle continued to flee southbound.

NSP began to pursue the Ford as it kept turning off onto other highways in an attempt to avoid authorities.

Twice the vehicle crossed over interstate medians and drove in the opposite direction of traffic. Shortly after crossing the median a second time, the Ford Escape left the road and drove into a steep ditch, causing the car to roll onto its roof.

All four vehicle occupants attempted to run away, but NSP was able to take one into custody immediately.

The other three were located later by the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office.

The occupants have been identified as 24-year-old Kyle Bottorff of Iowa, 28-year-old Shanell Horn of Winnebago, Ne, 29-year-old Arden Stabler of Decatur, Ne, and 48-year-old Fredrick Baxter of Lincoln, Ne.

All of them were arrested on multiple drug charges. The investigation is ongoing.
