NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KLKN) — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol  (NSP) take a New York man into custody following a high-speed chase.

Around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, one trooper pulled over a Buick Encore on I-80, near Hershey, for speeding. During this traffic stop the trooper learned that the passenger, 22-year-old Taylon Hill of New York, had an active warrant for his arrest.

While attempting to take Hill into custody, the Encore sped away. The trooper drove after the vehicle, which accelerated to 120 mph.

Coordinating with other troopers down the interstate, NSP was able to deploy stop sticks to stop the Encore near North Plate.

Hill exited the vehicle and attempted to run away, but was quickly apprehended by law enforcement.

The driver of the Encore was identified as 22-year-old Christian Hall of Arkansas.

Hall was arrested for flight to avoid arrest and several forgery charges after several fraudulent credit cards were found inside the Encore.

Hill was arrested for fleeing arrest and his outstanding warrant.
