NSP: More than 170 lbs of marijuana found in vehicle

KEARNEY, Neb. (KLKN) — Two California men have been arrested by the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) after more than 170 lbs of marijuana was found in their vehicle.

Around three o’clock Wednesday afternoon, a trooper saw a vehicle make an unsafe pass in front of a semi-trailer on I-80 near Kearney.

After pulling them over the NSP troop reported noticing clandestine activity which prompted a search of the vehicle.

About 176 lbs of vacuumed sealed bags filled with marijuana were stashed in suitcases.

The 39-year-old driver and 35-year-old passenger were arrested on drug charges.
