Officials: Man caught driving on drugs, carrying knife behind Grand Island police station

Anneudis Arias Pena

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man was arrested Friday after police say he trespassed at the Grand Island police station while on drugs.

Anneudis Arias Pena is accused of possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, driving under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing.

Around 8:30 p.m., police said Pena drove behind the Law Enforcement Center — past the no trespassing signs — and took out a large knife he concealed in his waistband.

Police said Pena showed signs of impairment and was given a field sobriety test.

After the test, it was determined that Pena was not in any condition to be driving, police said.

Officers searched Pena and found drug paraphernalia, according to police.
