Officials seeking public help in vandalism case in Gage County

GAGE COUNTY, Neb. (KLKN) — Gage County Crime Stoppers and Beatrice Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in a vandalism investigation.

According to Gage County Crime Stoppers, the suspect(s) broke into the old Cedar School building in the past three to four weeks.

The suspect(s) threw trash throughout the building, ripped the plastic conduit down, broke mirrors and spray painted walls throughout the entire building. They also ripped exit signs down and reportedly smashed a surge protector.

Officials say several items were collected as evidence for potential fingerprinting and DNA. They say anyone with information on who may be involved should call 402-228-4343.

Gage County Crime Stoppers says anyone who comes forward will be “rewarded handsomely.”
