Omaha Children’s Hospital receives Pfizer vaccine

OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN) — Children’s Hospital & Medical Center will begin vaccinating staff members for COVID-19 this afternoon.

The institution received 525 doses of the Pfizer vaccine. A larger shipment is expected later this month which will cover a greater portion of their staff.

This first wave of vaccine supply will be given to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Respiratory Therapy teams, among other who care for high-risk patients or children with COVID-19.
