Omaha Public Schools suspends fall sports
According to the NSAA website, this will affect 12 football games in Class A involving Lincoln schools.

OMAHA – The Omaha Public School district announced on Friday that it has suspended all sports for at least the first quarter of the semester. OPS is going completely remote learning during that time as well.
“We understand the important role extra-curricular activities play in a student’s school experience,” OPS said in a statement. This suspension is for the health and safety of everyone.”
According to the NSAA website, this will affect 12 football games in Class A involving Lincoln schools. Not to mention the dozens of games, matches and competitions in other fall sports.
It eliminates seven of the 31 football teams in Class A.
