Two hospitalized after car crashes into curb in east Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Two people were injured early Thursday morning in an east Lincoln crash.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 5 a.m. near 84th and Vine streets.

A vehicle was heading east on Vine Street when it hydroplaned and hit a curb at the intersection, according to a crash report.

Investigators suspected that the driver was under the influence of a drug but couldn’t test him due to his injury, the report says.

The driver and a passenger were taken to a hospital with “suspected” serious injuries, according to the report.

A part of 84th Street was closed for about an hour but has since reopened.
