A part of 70th Street from Rokeby and Saltillo Roads will be closed starting on Thursday.

The road will be closed for a roundabout and water main installation project at Carger Lane, city officials say.  The project is set to finish in early November.

Officials recommend drivers take Rokeby Road to South 84th Street to Saltillo Road as an alternate route.

The project will expand water services to the surrounding area and also improve access to Standing Bear High School, which is under construction.

Digital signs will be placed to alert drivers of the upcoming closure.

More information on closures can be found at lincoln.ne.gov/closures.
