SNAP Benefits

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services on Thursday issued a partial distribution of November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits.

The health department said it is working closely with federal partners to confirm the necessary guidance, logistics and funding needed to release the remaining November benefits.

According to the health department, it remains committed to delivering these funds to Nebraskans as quickly as possible.

“After guidance was received from the USDA authorizing partial issuances, the team immediately worked to ensure these payments were issued as soon as possible,” said DHHS Office of Economic Assistance Director Shannon Grotrian. “Now that the federal government is officially reopened, we will work to distribute the remaining benefits as soon as the USDA provides final authorization.”

Nebraskans can check their EBT card balance by calling 1-877-247-6328, online at https://www.ebtedge.com/, or through the ebtEDGE app on your phone.

Further information will be released as additional guidance is received from federal partners.
