PHOTOS: High winds whip across Lincoln, leaving trail of damage and power outages

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A severe thunderstorm ripped across Lincoln and surrounding areas early Saturday morning, leaving a trail of damage and power outages.

More than 30,000 customers are without power in Lincoln, and several traffic lights are out due to the storm.

Several videos and photos were submitted to our NOW Local News App showing some of the damage.

Dennis sent in a video of the front end of the storm approaching Ceresco around 5:15 a.m.

Saleh’s video shows the storm making its way through Lincoln.

Tonia sent in a video of a tree uprooted in east Lincoln, causing damage to a nearby fence and landing on two cars.

She also sent in a video that shows a tree leaning against an apartment complex in southeast Lincoln.

This video shows Lincoln Fire and Rescue on the scene at Lee Douglas Interiors after some of their furniture was scattered across the street.

Egan sent in a video showing more tree damage in east Lincoln.

Todd’s video shows heavy tree damage in northeast Lincoln.
