Photos of Beatrice toddler duct taped to wall released

Gage County authorities have released photos of the Beatrice toddler who was duct taped to a wall by his mother and her boyfriend.
His mother, 18-year-old Jayma Hamm and her boyfriend, Corde Honea were both arrested and convicted.
Gage County Attorney Randy Ritnour says this wasn't the first time Honea abused the little boy.
Ritnour says the incident happened last New Year's Eve.
He says at first they taped the child's sippy cup to the wall, then taped his hands, and eventually taped his entire little body to the wall. They claim it all lasted for less than an hour.
Ritnour says this isn't the first time Honea abused the child. “The child was placed in a small coat closet with no light and a five gallon bucket was placed in front of the door so the child could not get out. Normally you take a little kid, whether they're nine or ten or whatever and you put them in a dark room and shut the door, they're going to start screaming because they're terrified. You can imagine what it was like for this little two-year-old.”
Honea was sentenced to five years in jail, both for the child abuse and for a series of burglaries he was connected to.
Hamm, struck a deal after testifying about the burglaries. She was sentenced to ten days in jail and two years of probation. She will also be evaluated at the end of each year of her probation and has the potential to go back to jail if things aren't going well.
Ritnour says the little boy is living with her and seems to be doing well.
