UPDATE: LPD investigating deadly vehicle vs. semi crash in south Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Police are investigating a deadly crash in south Lincoln on Friday.

LPD said it happened at the intersection of Highway 77 and Warlick Blvd. around 9:45 a.m.

A semi and a white SUV could be seen in the ditch by a Channel 8 reporter at the scene.

Police said traffic is backed up in the area.

LPD is asking people to avoid the area as first responders investigate.
