Plenty of storm chances in the forecast
We have chances for storms over the next several days with a severe potential each day through Saturday. Temperatures will slowly cool off, which is typical for this time of year.
We cool off a little on Thursday with highs around the 80 degree mark. But we also see the beginning of a very active thunderstorm pattern.
Thursday evening has a chance for strong to severe storms, especially in north central Nebraska.
Because of that strong storm chance, there is a Marginal (Level 1) Risk for severe storms.
It may not look as impressive as the Thursday storm potential, but any storm that does get going will have the potential for large hail, damaging wind, and isolated tornadoes.
With this storm potential, we have a Marginal and Slight Risk (Level 1-2) for severe storms in place for Friday into early Saturday.
On Saturday, storms will once again be possible during the afternoon and evening. Severe weather is once again possible.
With that said, the Husker game does have a chance to see showers and thunderstorms. So be prepared for rain if you’re headed to the game!
The best chance for severe storms will be in far eastern Nebraska into Iowa and Missouri. Storms that do form will quickly push east.
