One dead after collision led vehicle to flip

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A 34-year-old driver was killed in a crash that occurred shortly after 3 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

According to Omaha Police, Deane Lewis, was driving a 2005 Chevy Tahoe eastbound pm Sorensen Parkway when the vehicle began drifting to the left. Lewis overcorrected, striking a curb and jersey barrier.

The vehicle flipped over as it went airborne, went down an embankment and came to rest in the back parking lot of 4622 Redman.

Lewis, the driver and sole occupant, was partially ejected and pronounced dead by OFD Medics.
