Police say man shot in north Omaha dies at hospital

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Police were searching for suspects following the shooting death of a man in north Omaha, officials said.

The shooting happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of 18th and Spencer streets, police said in a news release. Officers responding to reports of the shooting found Tremayne Jennings, 31, in his car with gunshot wounds. Police said Jennings’ car had hit a parked car and a fence before he was discovered injured.

Jennings was rushed to an Omaha hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Police have asked the public for any information on the shooting and note that tips leading to an arrest are eligible for a $25,000 reward.
