Portion of South 48th Street to close on Monday for water main repair

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A portion of South 48th Street will close for several hours on Monday.
The City of Lincoln says the northbound lane and the sidewalk between South and Franklin Streets will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Traffic will resume after 5 p.m., but drivers will likely be diverted into the turn lane.
StarTran Route 53-SouthPointe will be detoured during the work.
Crews will be working on a water main repair during the closure, according to the city. They expect to finish the work by Friday.
City officials recommend that drivers use South Street to Cotner Boulevard to Sumner Street as a detour.
