‘Profound tragedy’: Lincoln woman goes on trial in killings of two men at apartment complex
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two Lincoln families are awaiting a judge’s decision after their loved ones were killed last year.
On March 27, 2023, police said Taylor Bradley intentionally ran over and killed Christopher Karmazin and Ronald Gonzalez-Ribas.
It happened at The Lodge apartments near 40th Street and Nebraska Parkway.

Bradley’s trial was held Friday.
Her fate will not be decided by a jury in this case. Bradley chose to have a judge review the evidence and make a ruling.
On Friday, all of the evidence was presented and closing arguments were made.

“The words ‘profound tragedy’ somehow just don’t seem to properly encapsulate this unfortunate series of events,” said John Jorgensen, Bradley’s defense attorney. “Profound tragedy for everybody touched by what happened and transpired.”
The lead prosecutor, James Rocke, called the killings “horrific” and pointed to the psychological evaluations that were entered into evidence.
“Exhibit A11 and 12 set forth the tragic state of mind that Taylor Bradley had on March 27, 2023,” Rocke said. “She was actually so delusional on that day that she was proud of what she did.”

After the trial, Channel 8 spoke with the wife of Gonzalez-Ribas, who said her family is having a difficult time finding closure.
“I can tell she just wants the hearings to keep going for a long time,” Georgina Gonzalez said. “I can tell her lawyer is doing a good job. At this point, I only trust God.”
