LINCOLN, Neb (KLKN) – The public is getting a rare look at the inside of the Titanic’s wreckage.

Nearly 37 years after he shot images of the Titanic’s shipwreck, Robert Ballard still remembers what he felt at that moment.

Ballard led the team from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute that discovered the Titanic in 1985.

He went back the following year with a submarine and a robotic vehicle, equipped with a camera that ventured inside the wreck.

The release of the video coincides with the 25th anniversary of the movie “Titanic.”

With new technology, Ballard continues to hunt for other shipwrecks around the world.
