Quiet and cooler Wednesday
We get a quiet couple of days on Wednesday and Thursday before a cold front sweeps across the state giving us a chance for storms Friday and Saturday. Temperatures are finally going to cool off some, too.
Wednesday will be cooler, but still warm. Highs will be in the lower and middle 80s for most of us.
Wednesday will be dry, and most of Thursday will be, as well. However, a cold front will start to slice across Nebraska Friday giving us a severe weather chance Friday and Saturday.
Storms start to move into our area very late Thursday into Friday. Some of these storms may become severe.
Because of that, there is a Marginal Risk for severe storms in place for central and western Nebraska Thursday night into early Friday.
Another wave of storms moves through Friday evening with some of these storms possibly becoming severe.
Because of that, the Storm Prediction Center has highlighted central and eastern Nebraska with a potential for severe weather Friday night.
More storms start to move into our area Saturday early evening.
Then quickly shift east into Iowa and Missouri.
For that threat, the Storm Prediction Center has highlighted southeastern Nebraska, NW Missouri and western Iowa with a potential for severe weather Friday night.
