Quiet Wednesday, storm chances Thursday through the weekend
At or above average for the next several days. We also have quite a few storm chances starting Thursday and then on and off all the way through early next week.
Storms will become likely later this week with a chance for some severe weather. Until then, Wednesday looks like a nice day!
Wednesday starts off a little cool and in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
By the afternoon, highs will try for 70, but will likely fall just short.
Above is what our StormCast model says Thursday into Friday will look like. We may be in for may rounds of storms!
South central and SW Nebraska is in a level 2 “Slight Risk” for severe storms Thursday and much of the rest of Nebraska is in the level 1 “Marginal Risk”. Large hail, damaging wind, and an isolated tornado will be possible.
Eastern Nebraska will then see another potential for severe storms on Friday. Timing is still being figured out, but it’s looking like the first part of the day will have the best chance for severe weather.
