Rain and snow possible Saturday
A weather system is going to graze Nebraska Saturday giving us a chance for a rain snow mix across parts of the state, especially in the morning. Higher snowfall totals will be possible in northeast Nebraska into South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota.
Below is what our StormCast weather model is showing for timing, location, and duration of the storm potential.
Saturday will start off cold enough for snow, but we will start to warm up rather quickly.
We’ll warm into the 40s and 50s for much of central and western Nebraska, so the potential for more rain than snow is higher here. Cooler air is more wide spread for eastern and northeast Nebraska, so more snow than rain is possible here.
After the snowfall potential on Saturday, we’ll get cold again for Sunday, but warm right back up through the first half of next week.
