Rain chances, a little cooler
After several days of temperatures in the 90s, we’re going to cool off a little bit. Highs will still be in the 80s for the most part, but not too far from the average high, which is in the middle 80s. Precipitation chances will increase as we head into the weekend!
The air quality is going to be an issue tonight through Friday night. The smoke concentration won’t be “high”, but there is enough ozone to create a little concern.
Because of that, an Air Quality Alert is in place through Friday.
It’ll be warm again on Friday, but only a handful of degrees above average.
The cloud cover will increase with a chance for some storms to pop in the afternoon and evening.
Not everybody will see rain, but we’ll certainly take what we can get. Above is what the radar may look like at 4pm Friday.
And we really do need the rain. Eastern Nebraska is in an “Exceptional” drought. That’s the worst it gets.
