Rain chances are increasing
Storms are going to become more likely Friday night and into Saturday. We certainly need the rain, so hopefully dads are ok with a storm chance over Father’s Day weekend! We cool off for the weekend, but warm right back up as we head into next week.
Friday is going to be another toasty one. Highs will be in the 80s and 90s with a light southeast breeze, lots of sunshine, and low dewpoints.
Storms start to pop up Friday late afternoon and into the evening hours. The severe threat is low, but several scattered showers and storms will be possible!
Storms will try to linger into very early Saturday morning, as well.
We will catch a little bit of a break from the rain potential Saturday morning, but the storm chance comes right back. Saturday afternoon may see more showers and storms for eastern Nebraska.
Above shows the amount of rain that is possible from the storm potential Friday and Saturday.
We’ll certainly take whatever rain we can get in eastern Nebraska. The latest Drought Monitor continues to have us in the Extreme to Exceptional categories.
