Rain likely through Friday
We could easily be talking about snowfall potential this time of year, but it’s warm enough for rain so that’s what we’re going to get! Temperatures will cool off a bit, but with no snow to keep it cold, we’ll warm back up by the end of the weekend.
Rain is likely on and off in Lincoln tonight. It won’t rain the whole time, but scattered showers will be around through the overnight.
It’ll be close, but temperatures will stay warm enough for rain tonight. We may see a few flakes mix in at times.
Then for Friday (above), rain chances continue and actually increase as the day progresses.
We’ll once again be warm enough for rain. Not by a whole lot, so it’ll be a cold rain!
Weather models are projecting a solid soaking of rain, too. A quarter to half inch will be common for much of eastern Nebraska by Friday night.
After the system is almost out of our area, one last gasp of moisture may change over to snow briefly very early Saturday. Accumulations are not likely, but light snow is certainly possible.
