Recall Alert: snowmobiles, children’s clothing and toddler bottles

The company is notifying dealers and contacting all known purchasers directly.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- Polaris Industries is recalling over 138,000 of its MATRYX, AXYS and Pro-Ride snowmobiles. The company says electrostatic discharge inside the fuel tank can cause vapors to ignite during operation and the tank to burst, posing a fire hazard.

If you have the recalled product, stop using it and contact Polaris or an authorized dealer to schedule a free repair. If you need to start your snowmobile in order to move it safely, make sure the fuel tank is full. The company is notifying dealers and contacting all known purchasers directly.

Bentex is recalling over 87,000 of its children’s clothing sets. The textile ink painted on the recalled clothing sets contains levels of lead that exceed either the Federal Lead Paint Ban or the Federal Lead Content Ban; the company says this poses a lead poisoning hazard.

Lead is toxic, if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues. If you have the recalled set, contact Bentex for instructions on how to return or dispose of the clothing to receive a full refund.

Green Sprouts is recalling over 10,000 of their toddler’s stainless steel bottle and cups, also due to a lead poisoning hazard. The recalled stainless steel bottles and cups bottom base can break off, exposing a solder dot that contains lead.
